akira yoshida
Akira is a dancer/performer&choreographer that after starting with Breaking, he moved into contemporary dance and performin arts. Having received the Main Artistic Grant of Navarre , he did his artistic studies at SEAD (Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance). He works/has worked with the companies "Peeping Tom", “Lali Ayguadé Company”, “Yoann Bourgeois”,“Kukai Dantza” "Hungry Sharks", "Physical Momentum" "Roberto Oliván Performing Arts ”, “Ceren Orán” , “QuieroTeatro”, etc. Akira has also done other projects such as Virgil Abloh ́s last fashion show of Louis Vuitton, and the new advertisements of J.O.T.T. and Polaroid. Apart from this, he created his own solos "Home" , “Burial of the Bark”, and “Oroimen”, and co-created the duets "Together To Get There" and “Gizaki” with Lali Ayguadé (a duet nominated to the awards “Premis de la Critica” and “Premis Butaca”. From this duet a short movie was created too, which was nominated to the “Rever Awards”) and “Hito” with Chey Jurado (Award of the audience in MasDanza, and 3 prizes in Paso a 2). Akira has also choreographed “And Then...” for Oficina Zero, “(Un)told” for Gate8, “On Hold” for GetTheFloor; “What Should We Do?” for B12, “Dreaming Nowhere” for Cobosmika, and he worked as the choreographer assistant for Lali Ayguadé in the creation “Sublimation” for the Korean National Company of Contemporary Dance, and “Shelter” for Verve Company. He has also participated in various audiovisual projects such as “The Echo Of Time” by Asier Altuna and Natalia de Miguel; “Gizaki” by Edu Pérez and Lali Ayguadé Co; “Edge” of Abel Moreno, “Bridge” of Ector Palacios, etc. He currently combines touring his own work, with tours with other companies and workshops all around the World in festivals like DeltebreDansa, B12, Kalamata International Dance Festival, Flip Helsinki, Portugal Summer Intensive, etc.

jos baker
Jos Baker is a choreographer dancer, actor, and teacher. He started his dance training at the age of 7 with Oxford Youth Dance and then continued his formal education first at The Laban Center London and then at PARTS [Performing Arts Research and Training Studios] in Brussels. From 2008 to 2014, Jos worked for Peeping Tom as a dancer, actor and collaborator, principally with the productions 32 Rue Vandenbranden [2009], and A Louer [2011]. Since then he worked briefly for DV8 Physical Theatre on the production of John [2014]. Jos’ choreographic work includes Contactless [2020] a creation made virtually with The Human Expression dance company in Singapore. Put Out the Flame [2019-20] and The Smallest Little Thing [2019] commissioned by The Hong Kong Arts Festival. His solo work includes Know it all [2019], Of no fixed abode [2017] Creature Man Don’Tell Me [2008]. We were youth [2016], Afla [2008], Feedback [2009], We were youth [2016]. Jos also directed and performed in Paris Fashion Week to promote Petit Bateau’s Cedric Charlier collection [2014] and has made numerous pieces with students in professional dance training. On film Jos made several music videos and short films, most recently as a dancer and choreographic assistant to Damien Jalet for Anima [2019], a Thom Yorke project directed by Paul Thomas Andersson. Other screen work includes; Forgot to live [2013] by Ay Wing, and Let it Roll [2016] by Mustard Gas and Roses directed by Koen Mortier, and Biegga savkala duoddariid duohken lea soames [2006] by Elle Sofe Henrikseni, and movement direction for Violet Hour [2020] by St Claire and directed by Tamsin Topolski. In addition to several commercials as both performer and movement director. He also teaches internationally, offering a range of classes and workshops for professional dancers and dance students.

VIM VIGOR is a physical dance theater company under the artistic direction of Shannon Gillen and co-choreographer Jason Cianciulli, and is one of USA's most cutting edge dance-theater companies. VIM VIGOR and Gillen’s creative work has been commissioned across the USA, Canada, Central America, South America, Nordic countries and Europe. Projects include commissions by L.A. Dance Project, fashion label PHELAN for NY Fashion Week, DANCEworks at the Lobero Theatre, Hubbard Street 2, Gibney Dance Company, Over het lj in the Netherlands, Jacob's Pillow Festival, ICA in Boston, Ruvuelo in Chile, Boston Dance Theater, Mainfranken Theater Würzburg, Arts Umbrella in Vancouver, the International Solo-Tanz Theater Festival in Stuttgart, the TIF theater in Kassel, de Danseurs in NL, as a THINK BIG choreographer-in-residence at Staatsoper Hannover and at Lewis Center for the Arts at Princeton where she was a choreographer in residence; notable festivals and venues where her work has been seen include Springboard Danse Festival in Montreal, New York Live Arts, Prisma Festival in Panama, Judson Church, PULSE Art Fair/Art Basel, Bryant Park, NYC's River to River Festival, Perry Mansfield, and The Joyce. VIM’s work PUNCHLINE premiered at dock 11 in Berlin, before touring to the Arthur Miller Theater in Michigan, and with Gibney Presents at the Agnes Varis Performing Arts Center in NYC. VIM was commissioned to create work at the IUA in Reykjavik, Iceland and for Resilience Dance Company in St. Louis. 2025 / 2026 commissions include MAVERICKS for b12 in Berlin, LUZ Sitges, IAB in Spain, The University of Limerick, Zagreb Dance Company in Croatia. Dedicated to educating and learning from the next generation of artists, Gillen is an Associate Professor of Dance at The University of Michigan where alongside Cianciulli a LEO in Dance, VIM VIGOR serves as a company in residence. VIM VIGOR offers physical dance theater training in the USA, with annual winter and summer programming.
sara colomino
Sara Colomino is a Catalan artist, graduated from Codarts Rotterdam, where she worked with Jiri Kylian, Ohad Naharin, Nacho Duato, Guy and Roni, Anouk van Dijk, among other choreographers. After graduation, she received a scholarship for the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York.
Since then, Sara has worked as a freelancer in different projects and companies in Europe, Asia, Africa and America, for well stablished and emerging artists. Currently, she co-directs her own creations with Gisela de Paz Solvas ((In)Submises). In addition, she also performs for Lab 3.14 in Barcelona, directed by Albert Garrell; collaborates with Martz Contemporary Dance Company, directed by Eva Martz in Madrid (collaborating with the Compañía Nacional de Danza de España in a study about dance and neuroscience); La Infinita Compañía, directed by Raúl Tamez in Mexico; RIVA Dance in the Faroe Islands and Ehrstrand Dance Collective, directed by Julia Ehrstrand in Sweden.
She has participated in different national and international festivals, such as SoloDuo Tanz Fest in Cologne, ME.YA.BE International Danse Festival in Kinshasa, Certamen Coreográfico Paso a 2 in Madrid, Festival Dansa València in Valencia, Abril en Danza in Alicante, Festival Internacional de Danza Contemporánea de la Ciudad de Mexico, Dua Space Dance Theater Fest in Malaysia, DiR in Cottbus, Contemporary Dance at Bryan Park in New York, Fluid Festival in Berlin, Summer Stage in Central Park NYC, Contact Energy 22 in Erfurt, among others.
Sara is Program Leader for the BA (Hons) in Dance at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona, and is a Lecturer in contemporary dance and ballet at the institution, as well as guesting in national and international schools and intensives, such as Pirouetteando Mexico, TanexBezHranic Prague, Dance.Lt Summer Intensive Vilnius and The Arts Movement Costa Rica.

As an international platform our audition process is online only and due to the limited number of positions for participating artists, it will take us several weeks to process your application. All interested applicants should be advised that this is an advanced performing artist platform that operates as a company, providing apprentice experiences for rising artists. While we accept and value a range of experience and expertise, please note that days will run 9:00 - 17:00/18:00, often including Saturdays and Sundays, and will require robust physicality within a positive and growth minded ensemble environment.

Once you have been accepted, you will receive a personal invoice sent to your email from PayPal. LOCATION:
IAB in Sitges, Spain (30 minutes outside of Barcelona).
HOUSING:
LUZ / Sitges will provide shared housing for interested participants for an additional fee. 3-4 artists will be housed together in local apartments in Sitges for the rate of $800 USD for the full month, and $500 USD for two weeks. If interested, please express this in your application form and we will follow up with our team in late 2025 to confirm your interest, receive your payment and arrange your housing.
No meals or transportation are included. Travel and meal arrangements are at the discretion of each artist.

LUZ - SITGES is an annual platform that was developed by VIM VIGOR and supported by the esteemed program IAB in Sitges, Spain.
LUZ welcomes invited dancers into professional company life through a rich program that includes: daily company classes led by sought-after educators across multiple modalities, giving artists space to refine their technique and physical research; rehearsal processes for the creation of four original works by renowned choreographers and companies, culminating in a public performance; weekend workshops and professional development sessions with established European artists; opportunities to expand their networks in a supportive environment; and professional video documentation of live performances to strengthen audition materials and reels.
Invited artists may join the platform for two or all four weeks, investing in either one or two professional creations. Artists who join for the full month will experience two processes and engage with three guest professional artists leading workshops and professional development sessions.
